Dalton began reading young by exploring C.S. Lewis’s Narnia and Tolkien’s Middle Earth. He loved storytelling so much that he wrote several for his own enjoyment. Historical fiction has always been his calling, capturing his wife with a tale set in Ancient Rome on Wattpad. He is an avid re-enactor, specializing in WWII. He loves everything about ranching and country-life. Cowboying and writing seem a bit at odds, but Dalton was never one for labels. He works in family ministry.

Emily has been working with young adults as an English teacher since 2017. Armored with a BA in English, an MA in Education and way too many classroom tales, she demands teens see themselves in literature—even the quiet ones deserve to be the protagonist. A life-long reader, she adores all things fantasy and romantasy, but any good book with heart can grab her attention. She is steadily working on constituting her personal book horde as a library.

Together, they’ve written dozens of stories that will never see the light of day. They met as beta readers in an online writing forum and have been best friends ever since. Working on a collaborative project, their characters fell in love before Dalton and Emily did—and yes, he fell first.

Living in North Carolina, Dalton and Emily have been married since 2019. They have two sons and too many animals.
